SWGfL has organised a regional Film Animation Competition across the south west in 2009. There were three categories:
KS1, KS2 and
Special. Entries from schools went forward to local authority events, and then on to this regional final.
We have funded a full day animation workshop for teaching staff in your local authority with Oscar Stringer, nationally renowned educator in film and animation techniques. For information on how to book a place on the spring workshops go to our
Animation Workshops page. We can answer any questions you may have with our
FAQs.
We are working in partnership with Kudlian and other educational suppliers on this competition. They will be making discounted offers and giving prizes for the LA animation competitions. Go to the
Animation Resources page for more information.
For further information about using animation with your class: easy techniques; useful websites; curriculum planning; go to the
Teaching Animation page. Also download
Oscar's Animation for Education support pack.
View the fantastic animations that children have created this year. These animations have already won prizes in their local authority competitions. Go to the
Competition page to view these and vote on your favourites.
