Films for Learning has been developed here in the south-west and is a wonderful resource, free for schools. It is moderated and the quality of the uploaded films is high. Contact
Mark Richardson directly for assistance, particularly with copyright issues. You will need to create a Windows Live ID and download Silverlight. Visit the
Animation Community Place. Highly recommended.
How to Upload a Film

You can also upload films with Euro Creator. Teachers need to register. It is advert-free and moderated.
Euro Creator is recommended by Oscar Stringer. This is an educational initiative designed to encourage students and teachers throughout Europe to create at least one piece of media. To support this initiative, the EuroCreator website has been developed to facilitate educators and recognise and reward the creativity of young people. EuroCreator offers a pan European platform for students and educators to get creative and share their work (
EuroCreator).
Features of EuroCreator:
- Sign up is free
- Access to all, videos can be watched by any user
- By filling in the description, when you upload a movie, with school name and county, searching for films will be easy (no tagging required)
- Share your work from your school with the rest of Europe, and get a certificate from the European Commissioner
- Embed the code from uploaded clips into your school website, by simply copying and pasting the code (as with YouTube)
In all future workshops, Oscar will be demonstrating Euro Creator as a recommended solution for uploading and sharing.
