SOUTH WEST TEACHER NETWORK
South West Grid for Learning are working in partnership with Microsoft and a growing range of partners to build an innovative teacher network for the South West.
Investing in teachers to develop skills that will enable them to utilise technology to impact positively on teaching and learning.
The South West Teacher Network will focus on creating opportunities for teachers to further develop their skills and knowledge in areas including: Digital literacy; Digital citizenship; Basic skills; Computer programming; Technology in other subjects; and whole school technology.
Membership to the South West Teacher Network (SWTN) is free to teachers across the country, with members from SWGfL schools seeing additional benefits including FREE CPD opportunities and resources (non-SWGfL members may have to pay a small fee). Events are hosted right across the South West, bringing a wide range of opportunities to you, locally.

Top Student Resource
Swiggle is a website aimed at KS2 learners
(aged 7-11). It links to a wealth of learning and
e-safety resources and includes a safe search feature. It also provides children with easy access to key educational resources, in the classroom or at home.
Top Teacher Resource
360 degree safe online tool provides a user friendly and interactive means for schools to review their e-safety provision and to develop an action plan to bring about improvements. The tool is free of charge to schools on completion of a simple registration process.
