The lucky winners of the latest South West Grid for Learning Annual SWGfL Merlin competition will win, among other things, a day making a radio recording in their school. There’s also a great prize pack for the runners up.
The competition (which has two entry groups – Key Stage 1 and under, and Key Stage 2 and over) requires pupils to work together to create an E-Safety SWGfL Merlin ‘Our Place’ or a 30 second advert which could appear either on radio or TV.
All entries will be displayed in a SWGfL Merlin public shared place, but you do not need to be a SWGfL Merlin user to enter.
There will be two regional winners for the competition who will win a day’s radio recording in their school with Clyde Broadcast, plus a fantastic prize pack which will include a digital photo frame, a digital camera, and much more.
As well as the two regional winners there will also be one lucky winner in each category per local authority who will win a stationary pack for their class.
SWGfL has always believed that E-Safety is one of the key issues with which it has to deal, and this competition helps emphasise to children the importance of E-Safety in their lives. We really hope that you will help your pupils enter this competition and through that, enhance the E-Safety message.
