The
360 degree safe Self Review Tool (
www.360safe.org.uk), developed by the South West Grid for Learning Trust, has proved to be very successful since its launch in November 2009. The tool which provides schools with the (free of charge) opportunity to review their E-Safety policies and practice now has over 600 registered establishments, spread over nearly 100 local authorities. Schools that meet the required benchmarks can apply for the
360 degree safe E-Safety Mark.
Congratulations to successful 360 degree safe E-Safety Mark Schools. Marlbrook Primary School in Hereford and Brooke School in Rugby who are the latest schools to gain the E-Safety Mark. Brooke School is the first Special School to receive the award.
360 degree safe E-Safety Mark Assessor Training
SWGfL are providing two further Assessor Training Courses for those who would like to become Assessors for the 360 degree safe E-Safety Mark. Assessors are expected to have a wide knowledge of e-safety practice and experience of school improvement work at a senior level. Assessors are also recognised as official consultants in the use of the 360 degree safe Self Review Tool. The two courses will take place in Gloucester on September 15th and at Bridgwater, Somerset on September 22nd. Application forms can be downloaded from the 360 degree safe site:
