Using this Site
We strive to design our site in a consistent way, making it as easy for you to use as possible. We've adopted the following principles in designing our site:
Things you can Interact with
Sometimes, you may need to interact with elements of our site; for example, clicking, dragging or dropping-down something. These elements of the site are generally
emboldened, appear in lime green or include arrows to signify that something can drop down/up.
Some Examples
 |
Feature Tabs
On the Home Page and the Learning page, you can use these green tabs to switch between features. |
 |
Link Buttons
Links with an icon to the left of them generally signify that there's some added functionality to the page that you're currently viewing. Clicking on them will reveal that functionality. |
 |
Drop Downs
Sometimes, there's so much content on a page, that to display it all at once might be overwhelming. These drop-downs hide some of this content; opening the drop-down will reveal the hidden content. |
Some Exceptions
 |
The Main Menu
The main menu, displayed at the top of every page on the site, features dark blue tabs which you can click to move to a different site section. If a tab is grey, that means that you're currently viewing a page in that site section. |
 |
Sub Menus
Some pages feature a sub menu at the left hand side of the page. Site sections will typically have a sub menu if they are broken down into a number of different pages.
The colour of the sub menu can vary, depending on where you are in the site. |
Navigating the Site
 |
Site Search
At the top-right hand side of every page on the site, you'll find the search box. Type your keywords in and hit the 'Search' button and you'll be shown all pages on the site that match your keywords. |
 |
'Breadcrumbs'
A breadcrumb trail shows you where you are within the site hierarchy. For example, in the image to the left, you can see that you're viewing a page called 'Home', that sits within the 'Learning Platforms' pages of the Learning section.
You can click on any part of the breadcrumb trail to jump to that page. |
 |
Site Map
If you can't find what you're looking for on the site, you can see a complete list of all of the pages on the site by visiting our site map. |
