This is a
perfect project to demonstrate the power and techniques of multimedia.
The project uses Macromedia Flash which provides excellent low
bandwidth animation using vector graphics. To view and work through
this project you need the Flash plugin. If the graphics below
are not animating, then go to the Macromedia
site
to download the plug-in. A plug-in is an extension to your web
browser which enables you to extend its capabilities. Most computers
bought in the last few years come with a standard plug-in set.
You will also
need a copy of Flash running on your Mac or PC to complete the
project. You can purchase this at good software retailers or alternatively
download a 30 day trial programme from the Macromedia
download area. Educational users can often achieve significant
reductions. If you are on a low budget, then there is no limit
to the number of trial packages you can install, just plan your
project for a given period. Having said that, most people who
use Flash end up buying a copy because it really is a great programme.
