STEP 1 - The brief

This project is aimed at students who are interested in music, ICT and design. A mixed ability group works well as there are a variety of stages and delegated roles. The objective is to record and produce your own CD within an intensive four to five day session.

The project not only inculcates an understanding of music technology but develops group work and collaborative practice. This is ideal for a half term or end of term session where a week can be set aside.

This project requires a workshop leader with music technology skills, a willing teacher and plenty of energy. Group size is ideally eight to ten students working in groups.
