STEP 6 - Testing the gif animation in a web browser

Before uploading the gif animation to the internet you can run it 'offline' meaning that it runs locally on your machine.

Within Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer (or in fact any web browser) open the gif animation file. It will automatically begin to run according to the programming that you have used in the gif application.

The beauty of gif animation is that it will run in practically any browser and it does not require any specific plug-ins (such as Flash or Shockwave). This makes it very robust and easy to apply within a web site.

Having tested it 'offline' now create some simple HTML to run around it.
