SHAREWARE

There are a number of very useful sites where you can download software for free. Probably the single most useful one is the SunSITE which in the UK is based at Imperial College, London. There are a network of SunSITEs worldwide located in Universities which mirror eachother, giving you access to a phenomenal amount of shareware for every computer platform and operating system, including DOS, PC, UNIX, Mac, Windows 95/98.

You can also obtain software from the Children's Shareware Library which is run by Wise Owl. They publish a periodic paper based sheet which is available on request.

Encryption software can be obtained from Soft Concepts, also based in the UK.
