We're pleased to announce that the SWGfL e-Safety Conferences will be returning in November 2008 - further details to be announced soon!
Didn't get chance to attend the conferences? Couldn't attend all of the workshops that you wanted to? You can now catch up with the conferences online:
Selected presentation materials are now available to download from the Workshop Sessions section of this site. The remaining workshop presentations, keynote speaker presentations, podcasts of workshop sessions and streaming videos of the keynote speeches will be made available in the coming weeks.
You've also been raising some important questions following the conferences. As we appreciate that the conferences have been presenting a lot of information in a relatively short space of time, we've added the 'Your Questions' section to this website, which will hopefully answer many of the outstanding questions that you may have.
The 2007 e-Safety Conferences were held at four prestigious venues across the South West: Woodlands Castle in Taunton; Blunsdon House in Swindon; Bournemouth's BIC and St. Mellion International in Cornwall. The conferences built upon the extensive work that SWGfL and its partners have achieved around the area of e-Safety.
The innovative programme brought nationally and internationally acclaimed speakers to the region and included a wide-ranging array of seminars, featuring extensive coverage of the various aspects of e-Safety, from a cross-curricular perspective.
The events enabled educators to share good practice and gain ideas to take back to school, to help support the use of the internet and related technologies, not only in the classroom but within the wider community.
We hope to announce news of future events in the coming months!
