The Administrators Role
The Administrator has a range of functions available, to help manage their school ROSTRA.
Administration Functions
- Edit, hide, delete, and make stories 'live'
- Add images to the Media Library
- Pre- and post-dating of stories; set expiry dates for stories
- Story topic/category management
- Author and administrator management
Other areas to consider are copyright issues and parental consent. When using resources to support stories, it is important to emphasise the importance of copyright issues. You can download a' Resource consent form' to be given to the copyright holder to sign.
There is also a 'Parent consent form' which you can download. Any given project can contain many resources including video clips, audio clips and images, and it is important to have parental consent to allow such resources to be viewed online.
Each school should probably have at least 2 administrators in order to ensure access to the site should one be absent.
Also, remember that the Regional Super Adminstrators have complete control over the Region's MTN stories.
