Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-94)

Things to Consider           Teachers Notes

Photo by Sir Percy Shelley 1886

The house where he lived was formerly called 'Sea View' before he renamed it 'Skerryvore' after a lighthouse built by his family's company.  The position of the house is marked by a low wall and there is a model of the lighthouse. The house was demolished by a bomb in world war 2.
