"After influenza, try Bournemouth, the most lazy and health-giving place in England. The pine-laden breezes seem to rival the life-giving ozone, and the pale and weary invalids, even in these treacherous days of April, find hope, strength, and health return. Restful Bournemouth, with its natural advantages, its balmy air, and well-kept roads, its splendid municipal band, and promised electric light, and its excellent administration, has a great future before it." This is the testimony of Sir John Hutton Bart, Chairman of the London County Council.
